first look at the job seeker that an employer will have. This workshop will cover how an
employer may use an application as a screening tool. Information will be provided about
Civil Service applications. Since applications come in several different sizes and shapes,
there are some basic guidelines that apply to all. Let us help you complete a personal
data sheet for use when you are filling out job applications. If you"d like, bring a
job application to the workshop and have it critiqued by the instructor.
Impressive Interviewing:
How can you improve your interviewing effectiveness so you stand out form the
competition? This workshop will provide you with the skills to interview with confidence
and land that job. Through practice you will become more effective in answering difficult
questions from "Why should I hire you?' to "What are your salary
requirements?" Bring your Creative Job Search Book.
Skills Identification - The Foundation for a Successful Job Search:
This workshop is a "hands on" approach to help you identify your
skills. You will be able to identify your best skills and learn how to communicate them to
a potential employer; and be more successful in your job search. This workshop will also
help you define which words to use in developing the "skills block" of MinnesotaWorks. Bring your Creative Job Search Book.

secret" This workshop will help you identify what methods of job seeking helped you
