  Experience Works

You are Needed

If you are 55 or older with limited income,
Experience Works  has training and employment opportunities just right for you.

Here's how the
Experience Works SCSEP program works:

To find out if you are eligible to participate in
Experience Works Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), call or write you nearest Experience Works office.  In Wadena the address is P.O. Box 310 Wadena MN, 56482, Phone 218-631-3483 or 1-800-450-JOBS.

If you are eligible,
Experience Works staff will match your interests and skills with a community service training assignment at an agency located close to where you live.

Your community service training assignment is designed to help you upgrade current skills, learn new skills and ultimately find employment.

Participants in the
Experience Works program perform a wide variety of community services while receiving training designed to help them find permanent employment. For example, participants care for children and the elderly, tutor students, operate computers, landscape public grounds, teach skilled trades and crafts, and work as librarians, receptionists, and mechanics.

Experience Works pays you the minimum wage for approximately 20 hours per week while you receive training and work experience through your community service assignment.

You may also receive education, training, and work experience through a special program that offers on-the-job and classroom training.

If you are job-ready,
Experience Works  may be able to help you find temporary, seasonal, or temp-to-permanent employment through its Experience Works! staffing service.
