Steps to take to earn your GED in the Staples Motley Area...

1.    Go to either the Central Lakes College (Staples Campus) Ace Center - 1830 Airport Rd, or Motley - Staples Middle School Library - 132 1st Ave. S., Motley, and ask to take a PRACTICE GED TEST.  (Hours:  School days...Staples site Tuesday's 1-7 pm (summer by appt.); Motley site Thursday's 7-9pm (closed summer).   There is no charge for this practice test.  Allow yourself 2-4 hours for completion.  No appointment is necessary.

2.    Successful completion of the Practice GED Test will provide you the opportunity to register for the GED Test on the scheduled date.  The GED Test is given at the Central Lakes College, Ace center.  The requirements for GED Testing are:  19 years old (unless you have qualified for an age waiver).  Payment of $25.00 testing fee.  MN Drivers License or other state agency issued photo ID, proof of Minnesota residency (not necessary if you have a valid MN Drivers License).

3.    Retests are available for one or more skill areas that were not passed the first time.  $5.00 additional fee per retest.

4.    If the Practice GED is not passed, GED Preparation classes are available at the Central Lakes College (Staples Campus) Ace center, or Motley/Staples Middle School Library.
